LCDI Gate Lodge Refurbishment Stage 2

Primary Objective: - Material upgrade of the drainage system in the grounds surrounding a grade B listed building - Laying of paving replacing loose stones to be more in line with the heritage appearance of the building - Resurfacing of paving etc will facilitate greater disabled access onto the site thus enabling greater accessibility to LCDI services Secondary Objective: - Reduce the likelihood of flooding outside the building - Make the building more accessible for wheelchair and pram users by replacing stones - Make the building grounds more in-keeping with the heritage site - Increase the sustainability of the Community Project with the long-term solution to drainage issue - Create opportunities for new projects to be developed on the site - Increased visitor numbers to the site - Increased use of the site by the local community Potential increase in economic benefit through employment opportunities
