Learning Centre and Library Project

The Learning Centre and Library Project at RHS Garden Harlow Carr offers a unique opportunity to develop an exemplary carbon neutral building which will itself form part of the learning experience. It will allow the expansion of RHS educational provision to provide urban schools from further afield, access to green space, and from inception to completion it will be used as an educational tool, both for the end users and as a demonstration model for the constitution industry to inform future design strategies in the region. It illustrates best practice in sustainable development incorporating fully intergrated state – of – the – art renewable technologies and will offer ongoing detailed data on the performance of the building and individual technologies specific to the weather conditions in the north.
