Learning in Cyber Space

The project will develop educational support for young people at the centre.

Young People Services (YPS Kirklees) who are the third party sponsors for the project will deliver a personal and social development programme in partnership with Earlsheaton School and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). They will also work with the Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) to deliver similar courses at the centre with children from the estate. This will be arolling 10 week programme with new children being brought in on a continuous basis.

In addition, we will set-up homework clubs which will initially operate two sessions per week between 3.30 and 6pm. The sessions will provide internet access and tuition support.
