LED Light Installation, Cirencester Town FC

This is a project to replace the existing metal halide floodlighting fixtures at Cirencester FC with new LED technology.

With the ever increasing electricity costs the club will be able to provide a more eco-friendly and economical service to its members and the surrounding community. This will allow the club to significantly reduce energy consumption and become far more energy efficient. It will benefit the environment through less light pollution and the local residents/wildlife and the community through reduced light spillage. The reduction in electricity costs will also provide lower rental costs for all junior football within Cirencester, the surrounding areas and the Cotswolds, creating an opportunity that is affordable for all.

The new lights will help increase in the number of participants at the club, introducing new sections to the club such as women and girls. It will also provide greater access to the clubhouse for community groups. Reduced running costs will enable the club to increase the number evening training opportunities – resulting in extended clubhouse opening which will also provide additional revenue generation helping to reduce costs for those attending indoor and outdoor sessions. Energy usage and reduced light spillage will help the surrounding areas, less intrusion in neighbouring properties and benefit the environment and wildlife. New floodlighting will also help secure the future of the club as a participant within competitive non-league football.
