Leicester – Little Theatre New Heating System

The backstage areas of the Theatre were rebuilt after a disastrous fire in 1957, a solid fuel fired boiler was installed to heat the whole complex. In the 1980s this was modified to burn gas and its asbestos lagging was removed. However, the system is now extremley inefficient in its gas usage.
WREN funding is sought towards a replacement boiler circulation system and some pipe work and radiators to improve thermal efficency.
