Lets Raise The roof at The Civic

We have a vision for The Civic, to be a vibrant Community Hub, which showcases itself
as not only the glorious historical building that it is, but also an environmentally friendly
and energy efficient building fit for the future. The Civic was built in 1899 and the roof we
have today is the same one that was in place then. We have had a number of leaks in
the roof and are spending lots of volunteer time and effort in fixing them and cleaning up
after them to make the space safe. We have no insulation and as such we have an
incredibly high heating loss rate, which is not only costly but also bad for our carbon
footprint.
