Lighting and sound for our new studio theatre

Central to the redevelopment is a brand new multi-purpose Studio Theatre. Retractable seating means that the space can be transformed in minutes from natural light-filled fully equipped artist research space, to a 84-seat end-on performance space, to education and workshop space, or community meeting space or conference room. This multi-purpose fit out allows TFT to extend its programme of live performance and deliver enhanced community participation and audience engagement and a greater level of activity for children and young people. This space will have far superior technical facilities in particular low energy LED house lighting and sound equipment. To ensure that as many as people as possible can access its life-enriching work, the new Studio Theatre will have a front row at floor level to accommodate up to six wheelchair spaces and an induction loop hearing system in the auditorium. It will also offer BSL-interpreted shows and relaxed performances.
