Lightshaw Meadows, Warrington – Meadow Drainage

The ditches have silted up and this has raised the water table and decreased water flow to produce waterlogged fields. The applicants aim to maintain the water levels on the wet grassland by clearing the ditches. The work to reinstate the ditches will slightly lower the water table which is around 10cm too high
