Ligoniel Environment & Heritage Project

This is a major initiative by Ligoniel Improvement Association (LIA) to protect, preserve and maintain the area around the Wolfhill Dams. The project will promote access to the site for walkers, school parties, local fishing club and the general population of North Belfast. The project will involve securing the boundary, removal of Japanese Knotweed, replace existing gates / stiles to ensure the site is cattle proof, buffer planting, restore vegetation on the bank of the upper dam and other works to improve this site and improve access.
