Lillington Bowls Club Redevelopment

The purpose of the grant is to provide supplementary funding for the modernisation of the Lillington Bowls Clubhouse. Formed in 1930 and converted from old farm buildings a major refurbishment is required. An increase in usable space will help to accommodate a growing membership, now 150, current constraint is 80. Benefits that will accrue will be larger bowls section which will increase out of season usage through, short mat bowls, bridge and fitness groups. In addition we will be able to accommodate other interested groups such as Towns Womens Guild, Welsh Society etc.
