Lily Parr: Football’s first female superstar

To re-develop & re-interpret the Lily Parr statue & gallery space around it to tell the story of her life & achievements in women’s football, including artistic & digital interpretation that will engage children and young people with heritage &the arts.
To increase the number of objects on display in the NFM permanent galleries that relate to the history of women’s football.
To increase our representation of women in football to 50%
To use creative techniques to make links between objects on display across the NFM permanent galleries that relate to women’s football, enabling children to access and be inspired by Lily Parr’s legacy on the gallery and online.
To work with female artists and illustrators to help interpret the NFM’s early women’s football collection to help to inspire and engage children and young people in heritage and the arts.
To increase the number of female visitors by telling more stories about women.
