Lincoln Street Park

The project will see the creation of a new area of wetland with associated reedbeds, tree planting and wildflower meadow on Lincoln Street Park in Basford. Changing the profile of the river bank will create an area of wetland and reedbeds into which the outlet will flow, and this will have the effect of slowing down the flow of water and filtering out the pollutants before it enters the water course. The project, as well as improving the biodiversity of the site will increase opportunities for recreation through the inclusion of new benches and interpretation.
