Lingdale Lift Off

The group has recently secured a grant of £34,500 to refurbish a playground for children, putting in place new equipment for children to play on and to improve the quality of the immediate surrounding area to attract parents and toddlers to visit it more frequently. That work is now complete and the group are seeking funding to install a cast iron seat, which will be specifically designed to depict the Iron Stone heritage of the area. This is the first of a series of “add ons” that they want to put in to the play area to encourage more community use of the play area.
