Linskill Centre Double Glazing Project

The Trust is applying to Sita Trust for a grant to replace 154 old single glazing windows with new double glazing units for the Blanchland Wing within the centre. The windows are in a very poor condition and the wooden frames are rotten, which is leading to significant heat loss in winter months and heat gain in the summer within our community rooms. Many of them are causing draughts and are leaking in water making the community room uncomfortable for the service users. The community rooms are used by over 35 community groups in the Blanchland wing and many of our service users suffer from disabilities, are young toddlers or older people and they require a good temperature to attend sessions. Due to the heat loss many of the rooms are two cold during winter months and require electric and gas heaters to help heat the rooms.
