Lionthorn Himalyan Balsam Pull

This project is part of a continuing annual effort to remove Himalayan Balsam from the Glen Burn, near Lionthorn Woods. In 2009 a team of volunteers pulled balsam from the Glen Village bank of the burn . This will need more attention in terms of pulling out re-growth this year, as well as making a start on further areas densely covered by the Balsam. The project directly helps the riparian habitat of the burn, as named in the Local Biodiversity Action Plan
