The cricket club, based in Lisburn, has evolved over the past number of years into a thriving hub for cricket enthusiasts of all ages. They are dedicated to the provision of top tier facilities and opportunities for players to develop their skills. The project will provide funding for the implementation of 3 new grass wickets, crucial for maintaining high standards and to accommodate the growing number of teams. The addition of new grass wickets will increase capacity for cricket matches, improving the experience for both current and new players. It will also allow for additional fixtures, including continued friendly matches and the hosting of major events,further solidifying the club’s standing and strengthening ties with diverse community groups. Designed to benefit both the club and the broader public, these improvements will be implemented without disrupting the experience of Wallace Park visitors. Given the park’s significant annual footfall of 432,598 visitors (LCCC 2017), its prime location presents a valuable opportunity to engage and connect with the local community.
