Little Darters Outside Play – Phase 1- Sand Play Area, Whisby Nature Park

This project is the first phase of a multi phase project to improve the outdoor play facilities at the Natural World Centre at Whisby Nature Park. The existing play facilities (which include a water and sand zone as well as climbing & exploring facilities) have been a huge hit with children and families since its development in 2009, but are now not only reaching their end of life but also fail to achieve the levels of accessibility and inclusivity expected. This Phase 1 project will refurbish and make sustainable & accessible the sand pit area. This will include an 8m x 8m sand pit area with two accessible sand pit tables and two sensory boards.
