Little Wood Restoration Project, Little Woods of Stockbridge Association, Stockbridge Village, Knowsley

Little Wood is an 8 ha community woodland lying north of Stockbridge Village, one of the most disadvantaged communities within the UK. The site has suffered from significant vandalism, fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour, coupled with limited management, which has resulted in the site becoming neglected and little used by the local community, despite being one of the most significant public open spaces within the area. The applicant proposes to carry out a programme of restoration work on the woodland to re-invigorate it as a natural public amenity.
