Littlehampton Sportsfield – Triple Mowers

The Sports field comprises approximately 9 acres of playing fields. There are three fine turf areas, comprising two cricket squares; five croquet lawns and four lawn tennis courts. These areas should have three cuts per week, with the cricket pitch being cut on a daily basis. Currently these areas are each cut only twice a week. The acquisition of triple mowers capable of cutting all these areas would reduce mowing time, improve the turf quality and would enable the saving in man hours to be better utilised by the ground staff concentrating on the preparation and maintenance of the fine turf areas. This would enable the facilities being more available to representative organisations such as the Sussex County Cricket Club, the Sussex Cricket Board, the Sussex Football Association and the Sussex County Football League.
