Littleton Meadows fencing & water supply for conservation grazing

Littleton Meadows was purchased in 2004 with a LCF biodiversity grant in view of its important grassland habitat. This project seeks to securely fence the site as sections to better manage the grazing for the benefit of the grassland wildflowers and associated pollinators. A water-supply will also be required to allow troughs to be situated in appropriate places. An old dew pond will also be opened up as extra wildlife habitat and scrub within the site will be managed to increase the grassland areas while providing bird nesting sites.
