Llangoed Common Local Nature Reserve

Llangoed Commons Local Nature Reserve comprises a ribbon of wet, broad-leaved woodland, scrub and damp meadow along the valley of the Afon Lleiniog. There is a pond at the northern end of the Reserve. The project aims to maintain public access at the same time as managing it to conserve and enhance the environment for wildlife. Management inlcudes footpath and footpath furniture monitoring and maintenance, tree condition monitoring, drainage monitoring and maintenance, pond clearance and ecological survey. Llangoed Commons LNR lies within half a mile of the Coetir Castell Aberlleiniog project.
