Llanthony Secunda Priory – Landscape and Brick Range

Llanthony Secunda Priory is a scheduled ancient monument with 6 Grade I listed structures in the docks area of Gloucester city.
This project, which is part of the overall restoration project for the site, will deliver an exemplar landscape design that relates to the site’s history and provide a community space with improved safety and access; enhancing both the built and landscape heritage. Once landscaped the grounds will be open year round (365 days) providing a much sought after peaceful ‘green lung’ within the heart of the industrial docklands -helping to connect the site with local communities, visitors, learning, arts and heritage.
The 15 century brick range is in a ruinous state and on the building at risk register. Creating a new roof – and restoring the range will provide a sustainable venue for use by the local community and Gloucestershire college. The building will be available for use by the Trust and wider community during evenings, weekends and college holidays.
