Local Treasures – Inextricably Linked

Formation of new entrance to community café at the Intact Centre providing access outside the centre official opening hours extending hours of use and increasing access to our Nature Reserve, that is situated just behind of centre and cafe. Works to improve a currently overgrown section of land by creating outdoor seating areas, educational hubs & learning space which links into the Dobcroft Nature Reserve, thus raising awareness of its existence to increase footfall and accessibility. This work will include the provision of new paved walkways, seating & tables, educational gallery/displays to break up the space creating small ‘hubs’ displaying local artwork & environmental information about the nature reserve. Construction of a ramped access to the Nature Reserve to improve access for those with limited mobility, helping those in wheelchairs and parents with prams easier access to the reserve.
