Loch Long Beach Cleaning

Loch Long is a tidal Loch. Debris is continually deposited on the eastern shoreline which fringes the village of Arrochar. Deposits are too intense in volume to remove by litter picking, although this method can be effective after bulk of deposits are removed. To remove the bulk of the debris, the use of mechanical machines is necessary. The machines remove and form the rubbish into ‘haystacks ‘ below high water mark, a method that has proved successful not only at the Head of Loch Long but on other tidal Lochs in the area. The rubbish will be removed from the area.
