Loch of Kinnordy Wetland Pool Creation

This project will play an important role in a wider vision to restore fen (a UK BAP habitat) at RSPB Loch of Kinnordy Nature Reserve to favourable condition for breeding waders and other wetland wildlife. Specifically, the project will: Create new freshwater pools on site to provide additional favourable habitat to benefit wading bird populations. Re-profile one side of the existing water ditch adjacent to the pools into a shallower gradient to allow easier access (and retreat) for wetland wildlife.
