Lochore Meadows Adventure Playground

Lochore Meadows Country Park lies in West Fife in the heart of the old Fife Coal Field. It is a major centre for outdoor recreation and environmental education. The Country Park was created on reclaimed coal mining waste-land in the early 1970s. It covers and area of 1200 acres 260 of which form Loch Ore.
The park is open all year, offering walks, bird watching, outdoor activities such as conoeing, hillwalking, rock climbing, orienteering, sailing, power boating, skiing and archery. The Outdoor Centre is run by well qualified, experienced staff who with adults, children, beginners and experienced alike.
The Visitor Centre and original playground are located in the centre of the park. The park managers plan wish to fully upgrade the playground, making it a key attraction in the country park. The plan is to create an outstanding facility for young and old that attracts families from all over Fife and neighbouring districts.
