Lodge Nature Reserve – Heathland Restoration

The applicant has recently purchased a large amount of land, known as Sandy Warren, adjoining the existing nature reserve (59ha) with a view to undertake heathland restoration. The entire project includes habitat management, monitoring of the site, undertaking a grazing project, site development work and improving visitor access and enjoyment. The project has already been registered with Entrust through the RSPB under 459149.155. The total cost of this project is estimated at £135k, although SFF has agreed to fund phase 1 of the physical habitat restoration works at £21,700 within this much larger project, and therefore are seeking unique registration for this element alone
