Logie Gardens: Native Tree Planting

Aberdeen City Council has invested £100,000 creating a play area at Logie Gardens. The final part of the project is to plant around 20 native standard sized trees. Logie Gardens forms part of the Middlefield neighbourhood area. Middlefield is one of six ‘priority ‘ neighbourhoods as it has been identified as a Site of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) area. The area has little high quality greenspace so it is important to the local community.
The trees will soften the landscape of the local play park and be attractive to wildlife. It is planned to involve the local community in the planting of the trees.
