Carry out work on an old pond site to create a new pond and wetland habitat comprising of three ponds of varying sizes and interlinking marsh areas. The ponds will be created using a bentonite liner installed by a specialist contractor. The pond complex will complement the adjacent rough grassland and scrub to create habitat suitable for a wide range of pond plants and animals. Spoil will be landscaped into mounds and south facing banks and sown with wildflower mixes suitable to the substrate. Additional scrub planting will also be undertaken to diversity habitat and to deter casual access through the ponds by dogs.
