London T.O.A.D. Lesnes Abbey

The project will restore Fountain Pond at Lesnes Abbey, this will complement the works that we undertook earlier in the year on the top pond. Fountain Pond lays below the top pond and is fed by this pond, however the channels leading to Fountain Pond are blocked and the pond has a lot of debris in it, which means that it is no longer holding water. Both ponds are valuable toad breeding habitats however Fountain Pond is no longer suitable for breeding toads. Restoring the pond will reinstate it as a toad breeding pond.
