London Tails of Amphibian Discovery (T.O.A.D)

At Edgecombe Hall there is a pond that is formed of three pools that descent in height via a system of waterfalls to feed the main pond. There is an ornamental bridge across the main pond. Koi Carp have been released into the pond and these are having a negative effect on the biodiversity of the pond and the water quality. We will contract a professional to remove the koi carp and to place them in a more suitable location. Following this Froglife will remove excess aquatic vegetation in the small pools to improve water flow and quality and the removal of excess reeds in the main pond. The pond will be planted with native oxygenators to provide suitable egg laying sites and to attract invertebrates a vital food source for amphibians.
