Longsands Village Green Development

This is the next stage of the Longsands Village Green Masterplan to provide recreational facilities. This project will create an inclusive DDA compliant path round the site which will also include natural play features, with broadleaf trees and bulb planting to provide an attractive landscape and promote biodiversity. Full recycling of excavated materials will be used to create natural mounds and landscaping
The aim is to encourage more people of all ages to become active and increase enjoyment of their community asset. Extensive consultation has identified strong support from local residents and organisations eg local primary school, nursery, scouts, ladies running club and community church group.
