Lord’s Hill Church & Centre, Southampton – Refurbishment of Community Areas (006082)

This project will secure the continuing and future use of our building for the benefit of all in our community. Lord’s Hill Church is the Church of England Church for Lordshill and Lordswood, Southampton. The church building is a multi-purpose and fully disabled-accessible, comprising a hall, a small stage/sanctuary that can be screened off, and a number of ancillary rooms, a kitchen and toilets; and some land, including a heavily-used permissive path. The building was opened in 1981 and is used by a wide-ranging group of community organisations as well as a place of worship.

This project will see the substantial refurbishment of the building in order for it to be fit for the diverse needs of the groups that use it, specifically to replace the main window unit & other windows as identified by a recent inspection; install a fixed projector and screen; and renew a perishing suspended ceiling
