Lough Neagh Discovery Centre Exhibition

LNDC the largest centre in Northern Ireland decicated to wildlife conservation & the protection of biodiversity with over 220,000 annual visitors to the Nature Reserve. The LDNC is currently undergoing an extensive refit and alteration. Part of this refit will provide an exhibition space measuring approx. 400 sq metres and it is proposed that this space will contain both multi-media and standard exhibition materials which will tell the story of the Lough’s biodiversity, nature conservation, the impact of human settlement on the local area and the importance of the Lough Neagh Ramsar site and NNR on the region. The LTCS funding will allow the design and construction of a number of interpretave display panels and IT multi-media displays and will significantly contribute to educating & informing school pupils & general visitors about nature conservation and ways to conserve local biodiversity. The total funds available for the work are approx £1,000,000 with £50,000 estimated to be sufficient for the exhibition
