Lough Neagh Tree Sparrow Project

The project aims to maintain and expand the range of tree sparrows within the Lough Neagh Wetlands. Tree sparrow is a NI Priority Species and the Lough Neagh wetlands is one of the most important areas for the species. The project aims to collect and to disseminate information about the tree sparrow through regular feeding at selected feeding stations and through the provision of nest boxes. Monitoring will be carried out at feeding and nest boxes sites to determine the impact of the project and interpretation material will be produced to raise awareness among the farming community. The project will take in 7 councils within the Lough Neagh Wetlands
