Loughbrickland Park Maintenance

The funding is to introduce 2 part time wardens plus a van to improve and maintain facilities and landscapes within Loughbrickland Park. They would keep the park clean, tidy and safe for the public to use fully. It would be hoped that the officers would also be a contact for the public who wish to find out more about the biodiversity.
Much of the park comprises well manicured open grass areas but the far end of the park, next to Main Street, where the small stream enters the park on its journey from nearby Loughbrickland Lake, has a more natural feel. A steep set of steps give pedestrian access to this part of the park from Main Street.
A van would be purchased and used to transport equipment and materials needed to carry out project works.
