Lower Halstow – Memorial Hall Refurbishment

The heaters in the hall are old, and applicants have been advised that they would not pass the annual safety inspection. This would mean that part of the hall would be unheated, making it uncormfortable for hirers. The committee has therefore decided to install a full central heating and water system, as the current ones are outdated and expensive to run. As the existing windows and doors have been in place since 1960 and are in very poor condition, it was decided to replace these at the same time. There are two columns in the hall, which are very bulky and hinder hirers in making best use of the main hall. The project will also include the removal of these, resulting in the hall being less hazardous and restrictive of activities
