Lower Moor flood meadow management

Lower Moor flood meadows were purchased with a LCF grant to conserve and enhance the nature conservation value and beauty of this part of the river Avon flood plain. The site is particularly important for some rare wet grassland plants and invertebrates as well as migrating wading birds. This Project aims to re-instate ditches which control the water levels on the meadows, to benefit the wet grassland plants and to maintain the feeding and roosting area for migrant wading birds. The fencing will be repaired to ensure appropriate grazing for the conservation of biodiversity on the site.
