Lune Riverside Path, Kirkby Lonsdale

This is the third and final phase of a larger project to create a much-improved path along the River Lune, from Devil’s Bridge to the Radical Steps. Work will concentrate on a stretch of path for a distance of approximately 170 metres, where a concrete path, now full of holes and, in some places, gone altogether, will be transformed into an accessible route suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs and made safer for those with limited mobility and/or impaired vision. It will become pleasant to use throughout the year and new interpretation will enable users to learn more about the heritage and wildlife of the area.
