Lychgate Restoration Wetheral

Holy Trinity and St Constantine Church at Wetheral is an early 16th Century Church, with an octagonal tower in a commanding position overlooking the River Eden. The war memorial takes the form of a lynch gate for the church and was designed to be a lasting reminder of those who fell for their country, for carved in raised letters upon oaken panels there is a complete list of the names of all those commemorated by the memorial.

The intention is to renovate and restore the war memorial and lynch gate at the entrance to the church grounds and add an additional inscription. memorial plaque to Cpl Sarah Bryant recently killed in action.
