Projects / Lydd Town Museum Extension

Lydd Town Museum Extension

The museum presents the history and life of Romney Marsh and occupies an historic former fire station with adjoining steel structure gallery. The project to build an extension is to create additional space. The main aim is to develop and enhance the service this museum provides to the community. The project will enable the following to be achieved:
Installing new displays; increasing artefacts on show; making articles in store accessible to the public; expand our activities -volunteers and participants; develop the skills of volunteers, including young people. Training will be provided to catalogue new contributions and displaying these. Attract new visitors through the new displays and promoting our museum as widely as possible.
