Lyme's Natural Play

We aim to develop an exciting, adventurous and stimulating new natural play area at Lyme Park for young people of all ages and abilities from Stockport, South Mancester and beyond. Lyme's Natural Play area will take its lead from the surrounding natural environment but also incorporate those aspects of play that children find most exciting - climbing, fantasy, den building, adventure, offering novel play experiences, ideas and technology in a playspace inherently innovative and different in an area where play provision is currently somewhat uninspiring - conventional playgrounds with little relevance to their surroundings. Accessibility is a key aim and we have worked with a number of accessibilty groups in developing the project.
