Lyneham Locks 1 to 5

.To restore the flight of locks (numbered 1 – 5) on the Wilts & Berks Canal near Lyneham. These form an important section of the historic canal in this area. The locks and their associated pounds have been abandoned and partially destroyed. This project will initially carry out the environmental studies necessary to gain planning permission and then proceed to clear and rebuild the locks and adjacent footpaths to enable this section of the canal to be fully accessible to the pubic and eventually link to the other restored sections of canal.
