This phase involves restoration of the 17th Century mount, and the South Wood clearance. The Mount restoration includes clearance of the sycamores, restoring the north face landform, recreating spiral path and steps, ditch clearance, restoring fencing, seeding, providing seats, reinstating flagpole and interpretation. South Wood works include clearance of conifer plantation and sycamore, opening up culverted ditch, improving paths and creating new paths, woodland planting of native trees, shrubs and specimen trees.
