Lyveden Moat Regeneration Project

The gardens at Lyveden are visited by a wide range of visitors The moat system has a build up of silt is changing its character which will eventually result in the moat’s disappearance. This project will restore the moat at Lyveden to ensure it’s future. The work involves the use of a tracked excavator with toothless bucket to remove 2,000m3 of silt and deposit it without harm on site using a dumper truck.
