Maintenance of existing and establishing new habitat at Carymoor Environmental Centre Site

The experimental restoration of the exhausted landfill site at Dimmer, run by Carymoor Environmental Trust, has created around 100 acres of varied habitat enhancing biodiversity. This area and the associated visitor centre needs to be managed to maintain and enhance both the habitats created and facilities for visitors and the local community. The project addresses the ongoing maintenance needs of the established habitats, and the development of new habitats, offering opportunities for involvement of both volunteers and the local communilty. Enhanced maintenance of the visitor centre will encourage greater public use of the centre increasing the impact of the message of sustainability.
