Making an Entrance

Make an appealing feature out of the existing successional pond by creating a water crossing with gabions to the front door of the visitor centre and replace the board walk which needs annual repair and maintenance. The pond will be improved by returning it to open water keeping marginal vegetation for both aesthetics and biodiversity.
Replace boardwalk around the building with a hardcore path.
Install fencing around the pond next to the car park which is deemed a Safety risk.
Install new dipping platforms at the rear of the classroom and remove existing dipping structures
