Making Play Safer , Friends of Abbey Street Park/Dudley MBC

The aim of this project is to provide fencing for installation around a new toddler’s play area so that children are safe.

At the moment it is an open area and older children don’t see the dangers in cutting through this space with bicycles. Due to site topography on a steep hill, bikes can be travelling at speed when they cycle through the area. Park users feel this puts younger children at play at risk. The fence will provide an effective barrier so children and adults can enjoy the space free of worry.
