Management of Cotswold Pennycress at Cutsdean Quarry

Cutsdean Quarry is situated in the North Cotswolds. Since its closure it has developed several interesting habitats including limestone grassland. The bare limestone rubble at the quarry used to be a site for the rare Perfoliate or Cotswold Pennycress but it has not been recorded for a number of years.
Cotswold Pennycress is classified as Vulnerable and is a UK BAP priority species. It is anticipated that seed is still present in the seed bank, and, with appropriate management, this species may reappear.
