Management of Highleadon Green – Regeneration

The next phase of the project is to restore more sections of the Green for public access. This will require scrub vegetation and any other rubbish dumped on the Green to be removed, followed by the creation of additional walkways, planted trees and sowing seeds of grass and wild flowers. Posts, ditch and bunds to control parking, camping and fly – tipping will be provided.
A survey of ditches, culverts and underground water flows between ponds and drainage from the Green is required and remedial action taken.
Wildlife management, research, recording, planning and habitat provision will continue. Information signs are required.
